Underestimating Our Nutritional Needs

Are We Really Underestimating Our Nutritional Needs By This Much?

Each cell contains about 2500 mitochondria, which means that over one quadrillion mitochondria exist in the adult human body, which is more than three times the number of adult human cells and twice the number of microorganisms found in the gut.

A single ATP molecule must be recycled within a mitochondria approximately 1000 times per day for the body to maintain its energy supply.

Each mitochondria contains approximately 17,000 electron transport chains.

So what is 1 Quadrillion mitochondria X 17,000 electron transport chains per mitochondria????? = SOME HUGE NUMBER!!!! I never learned how to do that kind of math.

To run the energy pathways (Glycolysis, Kreb’s Cycle & Electron Transport chain) you need: B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, C, K, Magnesium, Zinc, Glycolic Acid, Iron, Sulphur, Phosphorus, Carnitine, Lysine, D3, Coenzyme Q10, Oxygen, Essential Fats among others.

What does this mean????

In a diet high in processed and refined foods, you are not only depriving yourself of vital nutrients to run (SOME HUGE NUMBER) of electron transport chains, you are also dipping into your reserve banks in order to deal with all of the processed, refined and devitalized foods that you’ve eaten.

Ever wonder why so many people have so little energy and succumb to so many degenerative disorders??????? The average American diet is like trying to force your car to run as fast and as hard as possible all day long on fumes. You can whip a tired horse, but at some point, that horse will fall over.

Remember now, my example was only SOME of the nutrients associated with making energy in the body. We didn’t even take into account EVERY SINGLE BIOCHEMICAL PROCESS in the body. All of the processes that allow us to breathe, eat, think, heal, & recuperate, move, react, think clearly, and anything else you can think of that our bodies do on a daily basis.

People “KNOW” that they need to eat healthy, but often times its hard to grasp just how much proper fuel we need to live our lives at peak performance; to live a life resistant to disease and degenerative processes.

Imagine now, with so little true nutrition coming into the body, how hard it would be to run a properly functioning:

Digestive system
Cardiovascular system
Musculoskeletal system
Nervous system
Endocrine system
Immune system

If you didn’t have the ATP for energy or the nutrition to run all of the processes of the body, you might end up with less than perfect functioning of all of these systems. What would that look like?

Digestive system: acid reflux, GERD, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), constipation, diarrhea, leaky gut

Cardiovascular system: heart disease, arrhythmia’s, heart failure, chest pain, shortness of breath, being light headed and dizzy

Musculoskeletal system: persistent pain, fibromyalgia, sore, stiff, inability to heal, weakness.

Nervous system: Basically runs everything in the body, so any lack here could impact anything and everything in the body.

Endocrine system: inability to handle stress, make hormones properly and in the right ratios and quantities, inability to cope and be happy

Immune system: frequent colds, flu, and being more susceptible to any type of infection (bacterial, viral, parasitic, fungal, etc.)

I would argue that there is no healthcare plan or enough trillions of dollars to “FIX” the healthcare industry until we take a look at the foundations of health in the first place. Running around with more expensive firetrucks and putting out fires all day long does not fix the problem. Why is there so much money and focus of attention directed towards the “outcomes,” or “FIRES” in this case, instead of the poor lifestyle choices that are causing many of these problems in the first place?

I get into a lot more depth in this 2 hour video that was recorded as an online webinar. The webinar is eye opening, and loaded with a lot of take away information that can drastically change your health in many ways.
